At some point in time, the practice of vibrational healing began to earn a negative reputation for itself. Perhaps this occurred as a result of the science versus spirit debate, where anything consisting of a spiritual nature became diametrically opposed to the more pragmatic and verifiable scientific approach to healing. Or, perhaps it occurred with the resurgence of alternative medicine, and the ethical implications of people charging money for a service that is not only invisible, but lacking of conventional scientific research. Yet, this practice has existed for thousands of years, and continues to persevere as a powerful way for people to heal themselves and find meaning in their lives. Following are vibrational healing modalities that use plant energetics to heal the physical, spiritual, and emotional bodies.
Homeopathy
Probably the most popular word in alternative medicine, homeopathy is a term that is often used as a synonym for alternative medicine in general. However, this is a grave misunderstanding of the term. Homeopathy is an energetic healing modality based on the principle that "like cures like," which works with the understanding that the same substance that causes a disease can also be used to cure it. This is similar to a vaccine, where a very subtle dose of a pathogen is used to confer protection against the disease. Homeopathic remedies are vibrational medicines prepared through a series of serial dilutions in a mixture of water and alcohol, which results in a a remedy so diluted that it no longer contains any detectable trace of the original plant material from which it was prepared. Rather, it now contains the very subtle energy of the plant, which works on the vibrational level to heal disease. Homeopathic remedies are used to treat both the physical and emotional manifestations of disease.
Flower Essences
In the 1930's, a respected Homeopathic physician abandoned his practice in favor of treating his patients with preparations made from the vibrations of flowers. The physician was Dr. Bach, and his preparations evolved into the popular alternative remedies known as vibrational flower essences. These remedies work on the emotional body, and function to bring emotions, moods, and temperaments back into balance. Although Bach Flower Remedies have become the gold standard for flower essences, these preparations can also be easily made at home. The process requires a glass bowl that is completely clear, and consists of the following steps:
1 -Fill the bowl with water, and place it in a sunny spot.
2 - Cut flowers at their base, where the flower meets and stalk, and do not touch the flower with your hands.
4 - Place flowers in the bowl water until they completely cover the surface of the bowl.
5 - Leave the bowl in the sun for at least 4 hours without allowing any shade (not even your own shadow) to touch the bowl. The energetics of the flowers will become imprinted into the water, which then becomes your mother water.
6 - Fill a 1 oz bottle with half water and half brandy (for preserving), and add 2 drops of mother water.
7 - Shake well to potenize the solution. This is now your stalk water.
8 - Fill a second 1 oz bottle with half brandy and half water, and add 2 drops of stalk water. This is now your medicine, and can be used for treatment.
Using plants for vibrational healing is a way for us to connect with the spirit or essence of the plant, which functions on an energetic level to heal disease. Acquainting ourselves with these subtle energies allows us to deepen our understanding of our own unique healing process and create a more sustainable state of health and wellness in our everyday lives.
